What is workplace impairment?
Workplace impairment is defined as “anything that could impede one’s ability to function normally or safely.” Most people think of alcohol or drug use when thinking of workplace impairment; however, it also includes physical factors like tiredness and social factors such as stress. While breathalyzers and drug tests exist (although almost all drug tests test for residual use rather than current impairment), Otorize’s 5-second test tests for any state of impairment regardless of substance-use or not.
